About Fathers Day OTF

In 2023, a group of eight men came together for a round of golf for Father's Day, sparking an idea that would grow into something much more meaningful. What began as a casual game evolved into a vision to create an inclusive event celebrating fathers, father figures, and soon-to-be dads. Over the past year, we explored ways to expand this outing while supporting a worthy cause.

Tragically, one of our founding members lost his father, Ron, during this journey. In honor of Ron's legacy, we dedicated our event to giving back and continuing his mission. As we enter our third year, we are more committed than ever to making our biggest impact yet.

Ron was an educator with multiple schools for 35 years, a decorated coach, and a color commentator with Wright State for 10 years. He was proud to have been involved in career based intervention for at-risk students at Stebbins High School; where he was able to give them the guidance and tools they needed to complete their education.

Ron was a beloved husband, father, papaw, and friend to many. It is difficult to put into words the legacy that he will leave behind. In his words, he is always blessed. "If I am fortunate enough to live tomorrow, I win, and if die tomorrow, I still win."
